One of those two boats with salmon caught out in 250 feet of water yesterday sent over a picture of the catch. Tom, John  and Ron limited out while watching an amazing nature show of whales and birds. I ran around for two hours this morning looking for a similar show out there and ended up back in 60 to 80 feet of water. The deep held no nature show for us today but did have a plethora (I don't use that term lightly) of jellyfish. Clearly, things move around and tomorrow is a different day.
Big fish of the day landed at the Landing was Guiseppi's 27 pound salmon. Like a lot of other dudes, it craved a little hootchy. Also like many other dudes, the hootchy situation caused him a lot of grief. It was good for us, though, as it was our one and only bite. We were Trees-adjacent, but probably don't put all your hopes on our one fish. We back-tacked that spot for two hours for no further bites, until my wife's uncle asked if we could fish somewhere else or just go home. He wasn't wrong. "There will be no encore."

Halibut fishing didn't completely suck today. I heard that Adam Bienenstock picked up a pair of 27 inch halibut today on live anchovies. He was fishing well past Hog, as I understand it, but the fact that he caught anchovies for bait is the most exciting thing I've heard going on in the bay for a while. I heard that there were also some herring and sardines mixed with the anchovies near Hog Island, so perhaps the larger fish will be (finally!) entering the bay to dine with us at last.

How’s the hali bite been? Hoping people find some fish sat. I’m trying to make it over Sunday and looking forward to hearing a sat report. Thanks

Monday looks almost fishable. Except for the possible lightning, but maybe it'll trigger a hot bite.

My husband and his friend went out fishing today and tomales Bay. They caught a 44” and 25” halibut. The Big daddy took him for a run but they landed it!
