The fishing wasn't as good today, probably at least partly because the weather wasn't as good today, either. The weather forecast said it was supposed to be better but it wasn't. Of the guys that went out and bounced around, mostly the report was of sadness. There were many empty fish boxes. But, a couple of boats did pretty well. Jake Showaker visited today an came home with limits of nice salmon for the two on board. Another boat, fishing nearly in his shadow, caught two salmon and then went on to catch two halibut in the bay after dropping off their salmon at camp. They were all at McClure's beach. There were a lot of boats fishing McClure's today, and most of them didn't catch. Actually, the vast majority caught nothing. There's a lot of people that think I'm full of it from yesterday's report. Even the guys that caught on McClure's yesterday were giving me the stink eye today. Hey, these fish live in the very definition of a fluid environment and the situation can change fast. These fish have tails and they use them. The forecast for the "foreseeable" future looks bad, but things can and usually do change. Maybe not for the better, but different.
