Nancy Conley from Citrus Heights caught this 14 pound halibut near Hog Island today.
Spokesmodel Brandon is showing off Gerard Fitzgerald's fish from South of Hog Island. The striper weighed 14 pounds.
Greg Gartrell declined to be photographed as well, but he did send over evidence of his success. The water was bumpy but apparently very fishable.

Hello, I need help confirming hook rules for mooching and trolling salmon. I read on the DFG website that you're allow to mooch with 2 barbless hooks not more than 5 inch apart from eye to eye of each hook. Can we do the same for trolling or it's only one hook. 2 hooks per line max. All hooks regardless of mooching or trolling must be barbless.
Barbless and two hooks maximum per line is correct. Mooching requires circle hooks that are also barbless and "defined as a hook with a generally circular shape, and a point which turns
inwards, pointing directly to the shank at a 90 degree angle" as Patrisage said. Trolling is two barbless hooks per line but there is no minimum distance apart, so if you can figure out a way to run two single-hook leaders from a single rod, you can.
