Merle Lawson and I believe the other party boat captains called the small reef between Cordell and Fanny Shoals "A-hole". Now it is on the chart as Rittenburg Bank. It used to be full of big lingcod but it now lies on the wrong side of the line of waypoints designating the allowed rockfishing area.
Great weekend! Lots of bait, birds, boats, googones, holy mackerel, shorty's, silvers......and a 22 lbr, 21.5 lber, 19 lbr, couple mid-teens, one small keeper and a few small legals released. All done by 9am Saturday and 11:30am Sunday. I take the good days with the bad days - there is plenty of both. I personally would like a 24 - 25 inch minimum on Kings.

Thanks Willy, but where's the A-hole?

Limits both days to 20 pounds. seriosly hardly a boat around us. Screw the fleet!! Old timers and googones driving through my birds. BS!!
Oh yeah open cordell and the MlPA. Not like DFW was enforcing the 18 line this weekend.
