The latest crab results are from Santa Barbara and are actually good. So, good north, good south, not so good in the middle. Not too far from good, though, so maybe it won't be too long. I'll probably be saying that right through June, but who knows, it could actually happen. There were a few rockfish caught yesterday to the couple of boats that got out and then kind of wished they hadn't when the sea came up. They made it back okay, but watch it out there, guys, these fish aren't that good.

Way to go state of confusion!
How do oregon and Washington open?
I guess they understand people need to make bread and the crab are fine.
What a shame the bay area is gonna b dining on their crab and not our local stock. Public health had there months in the sun now let us crab allready!

Wtf? Who did santa barbra blow to get crab opened up. I thought it was all or nothing? It's disturbing how our state of Cali confusion can tell us it's gonna be 1 way and then do whatever whenever they want. Maybe the powers that be have been fed some dirty crab cause they seem to have temporary memory loss. Come on get it together!

I hit up Ranch 99 before the new year.
Lobster 10.99 pound
Canada dungeness 13.99 pound

I got 2 lobster. $55. I can't believe crabs cost more than lobster! But my girl was pleased! Last night!

Santa Barbara hasn't opened up. The health dept. cleared those crabs, but that doesn't declare the season open. DFW decides when the season will open and they are committed to a statewide opener.
