Slow Dungeness crabbing here and the big swell slowed the surfperch catching the last couple of days as well. The herring are still spawning by Marshall but I haven't heard of someone actually catching one yet. Luckily there's some entertaining (terrifying?) videos on Youtube. Here's a scary one:

Yes I saw that.....that old man should never be allowed on the water or in a vehicle. That is flat out irresponsible - no excuses.
Unfortunately, I know someone like him.
Looks likes both boat captains are googones. That boat is so ugly. I remember almost getting run over by an urchin boat once. He was running north while getting his gear ready on the back deck. He would have run us down if I didn't fire up and move.
Sounds like the humbolt squid might be back?
