Tom Cook and Mike Nursement teamed up on July 6 to catch these salmon to 25 pounds. The rest of us can breathe easy now that the salmon minimum size limit has dropped to 20 inches. Break out the power bait! Lots of salmon caught out in 160 to 210 feet of water yesterday, and there was at least one salmon caught mooching in 80 feet of water, as well as some rockfish. The water hasn't been the nicest but its been good enough. If the water outside is too bumpy for you then maybe you should try for halibut at Hog Island, where the halibut have reappeared. Nice sized halibut, too.
