Hey, remember those endangered killer whales in Puget Sound? The ones that we might be forced to not fish for salmon so that they don't starve? Because they only eat salmon? They're in Monterey Bay. https://ftw.usatoday.com/2019/04/endangered-orcas-venture-south-desperate-hunt-salmon   At least, some of them are. The people trying to get our salmon fishing curtailed are very likely using their current location as evidence to support their agenda. Please be polite and, perhaps, a bit more specific (whalehuggers is a good term) in the comments. I'm looking at you, abfish.

I want to see those whale huggers in that article fined. They were well within 100 yards of endangered orcas trying to feed. I'm sure it all about making a $. To bad murderers wont get executed and whale huggers dont have to follow the rules either. Polite enough?

Yes and agreed. I wouldn't eat much either if a crowd stared at me the whole time.

Dont worry I'm calling NOAA today to report a marine life protection act violation. 1 800 853 1964 Fast Raft whale watching in Monterey is going to have some explaining to do. Remember I dont get mad I get even! Sorry liberals? Not really!

Oregon DFW has decided to do something about the Seals eating the endangered salmon.

Just saying...now not saying the endangered Orcas are in the same category yet

I should have read the article before I said anything, killer Wales only eating salmon is about the most moronic thing I've ever heard! And if that were the case one would think they would be heading north. I've seen those dolphin eat their cousin dolphins down in Mexico, seals in bodega and they had something out in albacore land years back and it wasn't a salmon!
I would like to see the person that said "that pod only eats salmon" take a swim with them.

One more. Do a little research on Ted Griffin or Namu I think it all depends on the individual. Anyway he was the first man to capture an orca live can you even imagine the logistics. Anyway the southern pod most likely eats mainly salmon. They have been murdering them from before the 1960's, they then made a comeback since 1974 when Washington made it illegal. Now they are threatened from the lack of salmon and they are in Monterey now because this years salmon run is going to be epic and whale watching tours are trying to make a $ "harassing the orcas". NOAA was very happy to take my call and that photo in the USA today is enough evidence to pursue a case against Fast Raft. They are in violation of the marine protection act and endangered species act. Try $100,000 fine that would keep me from swimming with an Orca. NOAA said they write 100s of tickets in the Puget sound for boats just for being to close. Anyway fix the rivers so we can fish and the orcas can eat.

Ab fish, you deserve more than bobs old boat.

rokefin said...

Yep Ab - fix the rivers and most of the salmon problem is solved. While were at it, eliminate or drastically cut down river fishing so the salmon can peacefully do their thing.

Anyone know when the last 40 pounder was caught in the Bodega area? Been a lot of 30 plus lately but haven't heard of any 40's. Would be nice to join the club in a private boat, we did land at least one 40 in the late 70's on my uncles commercial boat.

Why don't those orcas go back to SeaWorld where they belong?!
