Just a couple quick notes. I heard that a commercial boat sank off of Point Reyes yesterday morning. No other news than that, so hopefully it means that everybody got out okay and disappointed the news media. I also heard that somebody put some dye balloons on their gear and found them popped today when they checked their pots. So, like SETI, we should all be on the watch for little green men. That's proof. Just because someone is catching and you aren't doesn't mean they're cheating. Spend a lot of time on the water and pay attention and your catch goes up. At least, that's what Gage told me.

Definition of a googone: cant catch crap and blames real fishermen for their inadequacy. I'm sure that's what they tell there wife when they go to bed!

My source told me that the boat did not sink. She was taking on water with 4 crew and 7000 lbs of crab on board. Mayday went out and the Coast Guard responded. The boat was out of Bodega but was towed to SF. No loss of life, but the crew had launched a life raft. Good job U.S. Cost Guard! They had 3 pumps working to keep the boat afloat.

Thanks for the good report Tailout, hopefully those boys will be sitting around their tables tomorrow with their families giving thanks for another day above sea level.
