Quite a few guys showed up to try for the perch today but they weren't biting very well during the high tide. Later, during the outgoing tide (around 2 to 3 feet of tide) I'm told that they may have bitten. My source on the surfperch texted me at 2:00 PM this afternoon and said "Quit telling people about my spot. I've had one bite and that's it." So I can't tell you about later on. But I had to take him some more Berkley worms, so....
Also, for the guys dreaming about albacore, the local paper had an article about pelagic red crab washing up on Salmon Creek Beach. I hope it's a good sign. Here's the article: http://www.pressdemocrat.com/lifestyle/6597672-181/rare-crabs-deposited-on-sonoma?artslide=0

Probably nothing, but these are also called "tuna crabs" as it is believed the tuna feed on them. The last few years they washed ashore in southern California and they had killer tuna fishing. Our experience may be different. Again, probably nothing, but a man can dream....

The blue snails are even crazier. Floating on a mucos bubble riding the surface currents.

I told Gage that it was the price of fame. He said something back under his breath that I couldn't hear.....

Something about "Sac" and "googones" is what I thought I heard ;)

I actually think it was a comment on my parenting skills (or lack thereof).

Any parent should be proud their kid has salt in their blood and should instill for hatred for googones. Tell the kid get there earlier. Try the jetty at eagle lake at 9 degrees waiting an hour till half hour before sunrise for first light. Early bird gets the worm. Get a couple buddies spread out and dont let anyone in between googones, as bad as tweekers

For at least my benefit, please give a succinct yet thorough definition of "googones".

With this crowd you may need to first provide succinct yet thorough definitions of "succinct "and "thorough".

Googans go out in the ocean without an anchor. Ab fish was probably towed to safety by a "googone".

Annon your comments are as lame as your angling skills. You swear im afraid to go in the drink. I remember when bob king fell overboard. I dont think it was a googone move when i climbed up on the hardtop and spotted the reflection of his Center console. Chased her down and jumped aboard to save his boat from the beach. Just saying, know who your talking about.

And who are you ab fish? Tell us a little about yourself. Where do you live, work, how old are, what's your race. You're some what of a celebrity on this form. Maybe you could give us all some tips on how to boat, fish, treat our fellow man, and get along with each other. Are you a great American?

ab fish said...

No im married you cant jump my bones. Im native American hope you are enjoying my peoples land. Its about making lemonade out of lemons man. Look in the mirror before you keep your crap up

Googans go out in the ocean without an anchor. Goo-gone is what ab fish uses on his empty whisky bottles before refilling them with hooch.

Spotted a few of these little guys inside the bay while diving about 2 months ago, thinking it was a group of suicidal crawdads i didnt pay too much attention other than taking a quick picture above water. Im not sure how to upload a picture in the comments.

And I never heard of a googan before reading the comments on here. I assume those are the guys who get stuck on the bar and talk to much on the radio becuase its a well crafted name.
