Yesterday wasn't so good for halibut. Today, the wind kind of messed things up in the afternoon. But before that it was pretty damn good, if you like catching.

   The Coastodian sent me these pictures and a quick report this morning: "First time limiting in kayak

Both in 17-18', first on live sardine at 7:45, second on live smelt at 10:00. Both south of hog west side.

Lots of bait, lots of boats, lots of catching." Lots of good news. Later, the Coastodian sent me a picture of a pile of sardines he caught on his way home. That's a lot of catching from a small boat. Today, at least, it was game on.

    Mason Lessard sent me this picture this afternoon: "Got a limit one just north of Hog, one just north of Pelican point. 

Drift both on jacksmelt . 

Saw multiple other fished caught around me. 

Just before the bottom of the tide. "  So today was the good day. Tomorrow? I guess we shall see. Nice job Mason, as, as you know, even when they're biting they aren't necessarily easy.

   Branden Mendoza sent over this report today: "Hey Willy. We were back out trolling by the red barn. We had quiet a few take downs that didn't stick but did manage to get 2 keepers 26" and 27". One came on dodger herring combo and the other came on a dodger squid combo. " No stripers today for Branden but a couple of halibut aught to make him feel pretty good. Speaking of bass, I heard of a few stripers and white sea bass caught today, as well as the halibut.
