The Fish Raider II picked up this nice striper and a couple of halibut back by Hog Island today. There wasn't a great bite and the afternoon South wind made the fishing, catching and overall experience difficult. Probably half of the boats ended up with a fish. The trollers working further back in the bay near Marshall had a few more keepers and a lot more shorties to sort through. I heard about some good salmon action near Bodega Head in double digit water depths, but I also heard of fishermen falling down because of the sizeable swell that peaked at about 9 feet this morning. The swell is supposed to drop tomorrow, so there may be more trouble for the salmon.

  1. Hey Willy - I might (probably am) wrong, but isn't 38 17 / 123 04 inside of the Bodega Head SMCA - Heard the boys and girls in green have been out in force and it could result in $1000.00 contribution to the gubernator.

  3. Got it - I got the Bodega Head SMR (no salmon) mixed up with the Bodega Head SMCA where pelagic fish (salmon) is allowed. Thanks for helping me get it straight.
