Out of a half-dozen boats that tried for salmon yesterday, one had a keeper. Of course, that meant that the rockfish took a beating, at least from the guys that tried for them. No halibut, and mostly poor crabbing, but one boat caught two limits of Dungeness in the bay yesterday. He was working the channel north of Marker 5.

Not sure how to give you my fishing report directly... so I will leave a comment. Today June 1st I pulled in 2 king Salmon 17# & 20# mooching with harring at McClures Beach in 30' of water... Then pulled in a 28# Halibut just north of there just south of Bird rock. Epic day all around.

That is epic, by any standards. Did you get the halibut on herring also?

We got 4 -24" halibut on herring at McClures Beach then by Bird Rock the big halibut (38") bit my rockfish rig of squid suspended 24" above a oz sinker, while we drifted over soft bottom.
