Chase Tabuso of Idaho caught this 24.5 pound salmon today, as well as another six. The boat limit law allowed him to hurt everyone else's feelings by catching almost all the fish. Mike Stahl drove the boat today and put Chase over the fish. Mike would like to suggest that everyone check their downrigger mounts, as Mike's Cannon Mag 15 broke off while they were fighting a fish with the ball up. He said it made a little popping sound and then disappeared. My guess is that Mike made a louder sound immediately after. Check your base for cracks. It may save you a lot of money.

The halibut must be down by Marshall. I drifted South Blue Gum to Hog all day Sunday for nothing. Good load of cockles and red crabs though.

crabs season is over so no more using your downrigger as a crab block.

I don't have a downrigger. Rock crabs are open all year.
